LearnHGV may display paid or sponsored advertising from relevant businesses. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled, including the word Sponsored.
Advertising helps support the operation and continued development of LearnHGV.
Independence
Paying for a sponsored placement does not affect:
- Provider verification status
- Provider approval
- Inclusion in the directory
- Search rankings
- Listing order
- Listing prominence
- Editorial decisions
- Provider reviews or assessments
- LearnHGV recommendations
An advertiser does not receive preferential treatment in the directory, in search, or in editorial content because they advertise. Verification is a separate check. It is not for sale.
Relevance
LearnHGV aims to show advertising that is useful to the people who use the site. That includes products and services connected with:
- HGV drivers
- Learner drivers
- Driver training
- Recruitment
- Transport businesses
- Training providers
Not every advertisement will be relevant to every visitor.
Related businesses
LearnHGV is a project of Webco Services Ltd. It may promote products or services operated by related businesses, or under common ownership or management. Current sponsored placements include HGV Time Pilot and Webco.
These placements are labelled in the same way as other sponsored advertising. They do not affect LearnHGV’s directory, verification, ranking, or editorial processes.
Advertiser responsibility
Advertisers are responsible for their own products, services, claims, pricing, websites, terms, and fulfilment. LearnHGV showing an advertisement is not a guarantee or warranty of that advertiser.
External links
Sponsored cards may link to other websites. Once you leave LearnHGV, that site’s own privacy, cookie, and terms policies apply.
How a placement is identified
Some sponsored links include basic parameters on the destination address, so a visit can be tied to the LearnHGV placement it came from:
- utm_source is learnhgv
- utm_medium is sponsored
- utm_content names the placement, such as the jobs board or a provider profile
These parameters identify the placement. LearnHGV does not use them for behavioural advertising, profiling, retargeting, or cross-site tracking, and it does not sell browsing histories to advertisers.
