The job
XPO's driver training programme for newly qualified Class 1 drivers at Widnes: you are employed from day one, learn alongside driver mentors, then join the Tesco contract as a Class 1 driver. Built specifically for drivers who have just passed C+E.
Training covers manoeunring and safe driving, load securing, security driver paperwork and compliance, and customer and site procedures, shadowing experienced drivers. After training you drive on XPO's Tesco contract from Widnes.
Hours and working pattern
- 24/7 operation with flexible shift patterns
- Training period first, then a regular Class 1 role
