The job
Permanent Class 1 general haulage for Eddie Stobart at the Tesco distribution centre in Doncaster, with day and night patterns. Six months’ Class 1 experience is ideal, and new pass drivers will be considered.
Deliver to distribution centres and stores; some trunking, drop-and-swap and general haulage; occasional loading and unloading of cages; vehicle checks and paperwork.
Hours and working pattern
- Day and night shifts available
- Day starts typically between 02:00 and 07:00
- Night starts described only as evening and overnight, with no clock range
- Some weekend work may be required
- £5 tax-free meal allowance per shift
Pay and benefits
Header £15.15–£18.96 per hour. Mon–Fri days £15.15; Mon–Fri nights £16.35; Saturday and Sunday days £18.15; Saturday and Sunday nights £18.65; bank holidays £18.96. The offer line also says pay of up to £18.65 per hour.
Header range is £15.15–£18.96. Banded rates match that top figure on bank holidays. A separate offer line says up to £18.65, which is the weekend night rate and not the bank-holiday rate. £5 tax-free meal allowance per shift.
