The job
Permanent Class 1 work for Fowler Welch's chilled operation at Teynham, delivering palletised loads to RDCs, farms and packhouses, with trunking, night-out and local store runs. Six months' Class 1 is preferred, but newly qualified drivers with the right attitude will be considered.
Nationwide deliveries of palletised chilled goods to regional distribution centres, farms and packhouses, plus night-out, trunking and local store work. Daily vehicle and temperature checks, paperwork and signed PODs, keeping the transport team updated on delays.
Hours and working pattern
- Several fixed patterns, including Sunday–Wednesday, Thursday–Saturday, Thursday–Sunday and weekend-only
- Starts from 02:00 to 22:00 depending on pattern

Pay and benefits
£15.84 per hour
£15.84 to £25.41 per hour depending on shift, plus overtime and subsistence allowance. Paid weekly every Friday. Safe-driver bonus of up to £1,300 a year, paid quarterly.
