About this training provider

Ian Markwick Driver Training trains individual learners and company employees. I can send you the provisional driving licence application forms (regrettably, they are not available to download) and recommend local doctors who charge sympathetically for the medical that you need as part of the provisional licence application process. Once you have got the correct provisional driving entitlement on your licence, then come over to Newton for your assessment drive in one of the training vehicles. I will give a demonstration drive and then it's your turn behind the wheel. The route will start in a quiet area and as long as you are doing well, will continue taking in single carriageways, dual carriageways and built up areas. I will be able to assess your driving and recommend the correct amount of training to you before you commit you and your money to a "set duration" practical training course. The cost of the practical training will depend on how much training you actually have. This is also an ideal opportunity to iron out any points regarding the Theory Tests that may seem unclear. Once you have passed your theory tests, we can look at convenient dates for your practical training course and tests. All training vehicles are industry spec, as I don’t agree with using minimum spec vehicles, leaving you to “Fend for yourself” when out in a lorry by yourself on the first day of your new career.
