Purpose-built training centre at Brierley Park Close, Stanton Hill, with its own private LGV test centre — the first privately owned one in the UK. Trains Cat C, C+E, C1 and PCV, plus initial and periodic Driver CPC, with on-site medicals. Manoeuvring practice happens on the same tarmac as the test, and 1:1 tuition is standard. Free accommodation is offered for trainees travelling over 70 miles.

Training arm of a Keighley haulage group that has been in the industry since 1976, based at Thunderbird Depot on Valley Road. Cat C and C+E are both run as 20-hour / 5-day courses with published prices, alongside CPC Module 4, 7-hour periodic Driver CPC and RTITB forklift. The operating centre sits on the test route and has its own reversing pad, with 1:1 tuition seven days a week and automatic Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles available.

Long-established training centre with its own Europa Way headquarters at Stoneclough, Radcliffe, two minutes from junction 3 of the M61. Courses cover Category C, C+E and C1, PCV minibus and coach, initial CPC Modules 2 and 4 and periodic Driver CPC. ADR, HIAB and forklift training are also run, and theory and medicals are organised at the centre. The company advertises 25+ years' experience, its own modern fleet and a visitors-welcome policy.

Billingham training centre established in 2007, with its driver training base at Haverton Hill House on Haverton Hill Road (the Coxwold Way Biz Hub is an office, not the training site). Courses cover Cat C (Class 2) and Cat C+E (Class 1) licence acquisition, with the company DVSA-approved for both initial and periodic Driver CPC. ADR, Transport Manager CPC and forklift training are also offered, along with driver medicals and driver assessments. RTP runs its own modern fleet with DVSA-registered instructors, and advertises funded Class 2 places.

Established 1988. Dedicated LGV/PCV school at Westpoint with its own off-road manoeuvring area, manual and automatic trucks, and in-house reverse testing. Licence acquisition plus periodic CPC, Module 2 & 4, and ADR. A second Exeter option alongside Trans Plant Mastertrain at Marsh Barton.

Long-established Wiltshire school run by Sue, covering car, trailer, minibus and LGV from a home base in Royal Wootton Bassett. One-to-one tuition throughout; lorry lessons are booked directly with Sue rather than through an agency.

Family Sheffield LGV/PCV school at 12E Orgreave Close, S13 9NP, on the same estate as the DVSA test centre. Courses cover C1, Cat C, C+E, D1 and B+E, with CPC Module 4 on site. One-to-one tuition and staged payments advertised. Book the school direct — not a broker.

This is a real attendable SY Shropshire centre at the printed NAP: The Garage, Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant, Oswestry SY10 0AD. Tanat Valley Coaches provides PCV training with initial and periodic CPC at this centre, and does not offer Cat C training.

Family-run LGV/PCV centre founded in 1973, now at a purpose-built site at the Halfway Inn with classroom space and on-site vocational testing, including CPC Module 4. One-to-one mornings or afternoons.

Family-run Middlesbrough training centre operating since 2004 from A66 Storage on Old Station Road, South Bank. Training covers Cat C, C+E and C1 licence acquisition, initial Driver CPC Module 4, periodic Driver CPC, ADR, PCV, HIAB lorry loader and forklift. The centre runs its own Scania fleet and an on-site DVSA-approved test facility, so tests can be taken where you train. Their own site states they are not brokers — when you book with them, you train with them.
