Trainees take C1, Cat C, C+E and PCV courses, plus initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4, periodic CPC, ADR and HIAB. The site was the region's first DVSA customer test site for lorry and bus tests, so you can train and take the test at Fitzwilliam. They state they are a direct training provider rather than a national broker.

Nithcree Training Services grew out of a family haulage firm and has run its Dumfries centre on Edinburgh Road at Heathhall since 2001. Licence training covers Category C from £1,400 plus VAT including test fees, C+E upgrade and Direct Access, plus C1, C1+E and B+E. Initial Driver CPC Module 4 training and test can be added, and 7-hour periodic Driver CPC days run at £93.95 including VAT. ADR, HIAB lorry loader, RTITB forklift and NPORS courses are also delivered at the Dumfries site.

RCSC Training is a Plymouth centre at Darklake View, Estover, run by Plant & Logistics Training Limited. They deliver periodic Driver CPC and ADR (tanks and packages) from their own site, plus lorry-loader training. Courses cover Category C, C+E and C1, PCV minibus and coach, initial CPC Modules 2 and 4 and periodic Driver CPC. ADR, HIAB and forklift training are also run, and theory and medicals are organised at the centre. The company advertises 25+ years' experience, its own modern fleet and a visitors-welcome policy.

Family-run Middlesbrough training centre operating since 2004 from A66 Storage on Old Station Road, South Bank. Training covers Cat C, C+E and C1 licence acquisition, initial Driver CPC Module 4, periodic Driver CPC, ADR, PCV, HIAB lorry loader and forklift. The centre runs its own Scania fleet and an on-site DVSA-approved test facility, so tests can be taken where you train. Their own site states they are not brokers — when you book with them, you train with them.

Truckloader Services trains ALLMI lorry-loader and slinger/signaller operators from Station Yard on Station Road in Tempsford, Bedfordshire, with hook and skip courses and Driver CPC hours available on selected modules. Training runs at the Tempsford yard or on the customer’s own vehicle.

Worcestershire training academy based at Defford Mill, Earls Croome. Trains Cat C, C+E, C1, C1+E and B+E along with PCV, and runs 35-hour periodic Driver CPC. Also offers ADR (full five-day and three-day refresher), HIAB vehicle-mounted lorry loader and forklift courses. Instructor assessment is carried out by their own examiners.
