Newport training centre on West Way Road, founded in 2018 by Jake and Steve and running a fleet of around twelve vehicles with named instructors. Lorry courses cover C1, Category C and C+E, alongside PCV D and D1. Periodic Driver CPC is advertised as 35 hours, with ADR, HIAB, forklift and Transport Manager CPC also offered. The company says its Newport site is home to a DVSA LGV test facility, and it runs car tuition and an ADI franchise from the same business.

Ken Irwin Class One Driver Training is a family-run centre with over 30 years' experience, working from training rooms at Unit 65a in the Seagoe Industrial Area of Portadown, beside Wilsons Auctions. LGV training covers C1, C1+E, Category C Class 2 and Category C+E artic, and the bus and coach side offers D, D1 and D1+E. A five-day ADR course and a 12-day Transport Manager CPC are also run, and Driver CPC training is offered alongside the licence courses. The school was a Talent in Logistics LGV Training Provider of the Year finalist and won a Northern Ireland Enterprise award in 2023.

Kent Training runs its own training and private DVSA test centre on Ramsgate Road in Sandwich, operated by For Group Holdings. Courses include Cat C, C+E, car-to-artic and CPC Part 4, with periodic CPC also advertised. Tests are taken on site and the office can be visited by appointment.

Independent driver trainer led by named instructor Kris Blundell, training from Bag Lane Industrial Estate in Atherton. Courses cover Category C+E, Category C, C1 and D1 minibus, with package prices printed on the company's own site. Kris has been an ADI since 2008 and LGV qualified since 1997, and pay-in-part is offered. Training runs Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings.

Family-owned training centre at Priory Business Park, Fitzwilliam, near Pontefract, running since 1986. Trainees take C1, Cat C, C+E and PCV courses, plus initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4, periodic CPC, ADR and HIAB. The site was the region's first DVSA customer test site for lorry and bus tests, so you can train and take the test at Fitzwilliam. They state they are a direct training provider rather than a national broker.

Family-run independent school with its own on-site DVSA test centre at Sheaf Close, Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, Northampton. Trains Cat C, C+E, C1, C1+E, PCV D and D1 one-to-one in four-hour sessions, weekdays and weekends. Two 3a reversing areas are on site, with JAUPT-approved periodic Driver CPC and Module 4 delivered by their own examiner. Trainees can visit before booking and finance is available.

Liverpool independent driver training school based on Long Lane, Aintree. Courses cover Category C, C+E and C1 lorry entitlements, D1 minibus, and initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4 as part of the Cat C pathway. Instructors are named on the site and an 83% first-time pass rate is claimed. Opening hours are Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings.

Learn2Pass trains one-to-one from Gillingham Business Park, minutes from the DVSA lorry test centre, on their own commercial vehicles. C1 is a proper course here, alongside Class 2, Class 1 and PCV. Book the school on Ambley Road.

Dedicated driving centre at 4-10 Thurmaston Footpath in Leicester. Trains Cat C and C+E lorry categories alongside B+E and the full PCV range (D, D+E, D1, D1+E), with Driver CPC also advertised. Theory test support is offered and instructor Carl Browett is named in on-site reviews. Training is based in Leicester rather than spread across separate depots.

Lloyds School of Motoring is an independent driving school established in 2008 by Lloyd Walker, operating from its own site at 133 Ballyutoag Road in County Antrim, close to Belfast. Lorry training covers C1, C1+E, Category C rigid and Category C+E artic, all in automatic vehicles, and the bus side runs D1, D1+E and Category D courses. Learners can take either the initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4 or the 35-hour periodic classroom course. The site has a private off-road reversing and manoeuvring area, and the school claims approved NVDIR instructors and centre accreditation.
